Last month, Tower had the privilege of sponsoring IICPC QuantFest 2025, held at IIT Madras, where more than 10,000 students from IITs and other leading institutions across India came together to test their skills in quantitative problem-solving and trading strategy.
QuantFest, organized by the Inter-Collegiate Informatic and Competitive Programming Camp (IICPC), is a one-of-a-kind national initiative designed to simulate real-world quantitative challenges. The competition unfolds across three rigorous stages, evaluating analytical reasoning, programming, and market intuition in a format inspired by leading global trading firms.
Over the course of the event, participants engaged in graded quant papers, probability challenges, and trading simulations, mirroring the complex and high-pressure environments in which quantitative researchers and traders operate every day. The final rounds were hosted at the IIT Madras Research Park, bringing together the brightest young problem-solvers in India for a dynamic showcase of mathematical and computational excellence.
Tower was on-site for Day 1 of the finals, where we introduced a machine learning challenge designed to demonstrate how quantitative research and applied AI intersect in modern trading. Competitors were tasked with building predictive models under real-world constraints, balancing accuracy, efficiency, and interpretability.
This challenge offered participants a window into how core aspects of the quantitative skillset power real-time trading decisions. The intellectual rigor and enthusiasm on display were inspiring.
