Coffee with a Purpose: Tower’s London Team Hosts Macmillan Cancer Support

Earlier this month, Tower’s London office came together for a Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the UK’s leading charities for people living with cancer. The event offered a simple but meaningful way for colleagues to connect over coffee and baked goods while raising funds for an organization that provides life-changing assistance to millions.

These small gatherings are part of a much larger movement. Macmillan’s Coffee Morning initiative began more than 30 years ago and has since become one of the UK’s most recognized fundraising campaigns – a reminder that community-level action can have national impact. Every donation contributes to Macmillan’s mission to help people with cancer live life as fully as possible, from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Macmillan offers a wide range of services: financial and emotional support, expert medical guidance and workplace programs that help employers better support staff affected by cancer. In 2024 alone, the organization helped more than 2.4 million people, with its network of nurses, volunteers and support workers reaching hundreds of thousands more. Nearly all of its funding comes from donations, which makes direct outreach efforts like Tower’s Coffee Morning all the more important.

At Tower, philanthropy is woven into our culture. Whether through local volunteerism or global fundraising initiatives, we’re proud to support causes that matter to our people and communities.
