From Golf to Life: Tower China’s First WIN Panel Explores Leadership, Resilience, and Authenticity

Tower’s Shanghai office hosted its first Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) panel, “From Golf to Life,” engaging colleagues from across the APAC region. The event blended leadership insights with personal reflection, framing WIN not just as a celebration of women, but as a space to share how we navigate challenges, build opportunities, and lead authentically.

Our featured speaker, Chris Shen, founder of WELINKS – a women-led indoor golf brand redefining how urban professionals in China experience the sport – brought a unique perspective shaped by her career in global sports management and entrepreneurship. Chris shared her journey of building WELINKS, the trends driving growth in China’s golf industry, and how lessons from the course translate to business and life alike.

Her message resonated. Chris believes that success isn’t defined by outcomes alone, but by how we respond to setbacks, understand ourselves, and take responsibility along the way. Drawing parallels between golf and leadership, she highlighted values such as power, honesty, resilience, and focus – qualities essential both in competition and in personal growth.

The discussion concluded with an indoor golf outing for Tower colleagues, turning inspiration into practice. The session offered not just a chance to play, but to strengthen the sense of community that WIN aims to foster.

WIN is part of Tower’s ongoing commitment to fostering leadership and connection across our business, creating spaces for authentic dialogue and growth. As we continue to expand the program globally, events like “From Golf to Life” underscore a shared commitment to authenticity, inclusion, and learning from one another – on and off the course. Keep it here to learn where we take the initiative next.
