Tower recently attended PyCon US 2026, the premier conference for Python developers and users, held May 13-19 in Long Beach, California. The event brought together more than 2,000 software engineers, data scientists, researchers, and open-source contributors from across the global Python community.
Tower was represented at the conference by members of our trading, data, and HR teams. Throughout the week, we enjoyed connecting with attendees interested in learning more about Tower’s technology, culture, and career opportunities.
Our booth engaged a diverse group of conference attendees from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Our conversations focused on Python’s role in quantitative trading, software engineering, and large-scale data systems, as well as the technical challenges that drive innovation across the industry.
One highlight from the event was our inaugural Tower PyCon Challenge, a coding competition designed to test participants’ Python knowledge and problem-solving abilities under pressure. More than 120 attendees participated in the five-minute coding challenge, showcasing both their creativity and technical skill.
Events like PyCon provide valuable opportunities for Tower to engage with the broader Python ecosystem, exchange ideas with talented developers, and connect with the next generation of technical talent. We look forward to continuing these conversations and returning to both future PyCon events and other engineering-focused events throughout the year.
