Tower Hosts Fourth Annual Limestone Data Challenge at IIT Bombay & Inaugural Limestone Data Challenge at MIT

Earlier this spring, Tower’s Limestone trading team hosted its Fourth Annual Limestone Data Challenge at IIT Bombay and the inaugural Limestone Data Challenge at MIT. The Limestone Data Challenge brought together talented computer science students from both universities for a fast-paced competition focused on quantitative problem-solving, data analysis, and development skills.

The challenge gave participants the opportunity to work in teams of two to tackle a series of analytical and development-focused problems designed to test both technical ability and creative thinking. Over the course of the one-day competition, students applied their skills in a high-energy environment that reflected the kinds of complex, data-driven challenges at the heart of quantitative finance.

The Limestone Data Challenge has become an important annual event for Tower’s recruiting and student engagement efforts. Beyond the competition itself, the event offers students a chance to explore how their academic training can translate into real-world quantitative trading and engineering applications.

This year’s challenge also offered cash prizes, with selected participants invited to continue engaging with Tower through on-campus interaction and potential participation in the Limestone Summit in May.

Congratulations to all of this year’s participants, and thank you to everyone who helped make the Limestone Data Challenge a success. We are proud to support opportunities that give students practical exposure to the world of quantitative finance – and we look forward to continuing to connect with the next generation of technical talent.
