A large pain for applicants going through the immigration process is the sheer amount of time it takes. Complex immigration applications today require on the order of 40-60 hours of manual work from immigration attorneys and paralegals; less complex cases require ~10 hours. The majority of this time is spent on administrative, non-strategic tasks such as reviewing applicants’ documents, gaining familiarity with applicants’ fields of expertise, and drafting standardized reports/forms.
CaseBlink is building a workflow tool to help immigration attorneys review applicants’ documents and draft case materials required for final application submission packets. CaseBlink aims to reduce time spent on immigration cases from tens of hours to single digit hours for complex cases,
While the legal field is one of the most prominent when it comes to venture funding for AI companies,[1] immigration law is a highly specialized field that has seen few AI startups funded so far. Specifically, we want to partner with founding teams who have industry background coupled with the right technical and sales expertise. Khalil, CaseBlink’s CEO, has a unique blend of technical and product expertise having been a data scientist at Google. CaseBlink’s COO, Tina, worked as an immigration attorney for over 8 years. CaseBlink’s CTO, John, is a repeat founder and has scaled a venture backed technology startup to Series D.
